Pastor Mike Watkins, Sr

Pastor Mike Watkins, Sr. was born and reared in Natchez, MS. In 1989 he received a BS degree in Mathematics-Computer Science from Tougaloo College. He started his career at IBM in RTP, North Carolina as a software developer. It was there he met his beautiful wife, First Lady Karen Dey Watkins. They were married Aug 1, 1992 and have 3 beautiful children – Mike JR, Marcus and Amaya. The Lord led Pastor Mike and his family to Houston in December 1995 to advance his career at BMC Software and to be saved and work in God’s kingdom. Pastor Mike grew up in church and was baptized in Jesus name at a very young age. He was always taught to fear God, love Him and keep His commandments. On Dec. 21, 2003, the Lord filled him with the Holy Ghost at the Bible Refuge Temple Church, pastored by Dr. Bonnie Green. He served faithfully until 2007 when the Lord him to Faith Tabernacle to work alongside his brother, Bishop Gregory Watkins. Pastor Mike served faithfully as finance director and head deacon for 10+ year. During this period, he was also very active in the Living Witnesses of the Apostolic Faith, Inc. organization where he served as a member of the Board of Directors and Co-Chairman of the National Men’s Auxiliary for 6 year. In 2019, after Bishop Gregory Watkins accepted the call to move to MS to continue his ministry, Pastor Mike accepted God’s call and was installed as pastor of Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Ministries July 28, 2019.

Elder Ovra Harris, Jr., Assistant Pastor

Elder Ovra Harris, Jr., was born in Beaumont, Texas, on October 28, 1953. His family moved to Houston, Texas, in the late 1950's, where he attended school. Elder Harris was baptized in Jesus' name. On January 11, 1973, he joined the United States Army and served until April 9, 1976. His father, the late Bishop Ovra Harris, Sr., started Faith Tabernacle Holiness Outreach Ministries (later renamed Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Ministries). It was here that Elder Harris answered the call of God on his life when he was filled with the Holy Ghost in the early 1990's. Now serving in the Army of the Lord, Elder Harris became the adult Sunday School teacher until he became Youth Leader of Faith Tabernacle. Elder Harris met his wife, Sister Jennifer Harding, from Montreal, Canada, in September of 1996. They were married by his father on January 22, 2005. Elder Harris was ordained an Elder on April 30, 2017 and later appointed Assistant Pastor of Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Ministries on July 9, 2017.

Elder Jeffery Harris

Spiritual Counselor I have been in this ministry for over 20 years. This is a place where anyone can learn the truth.

Minister Eddie Harris

Outreach Ministry Leader. I am a minister here at Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Ministries. I also work at U.S. Legal Support, in the court reporting department. It was God's grace, love, and mercy that drew me to Him. I was brought up in the church but got away from the Lord to do my own thing. But because of God's grace, love, and mercy he never left me. (Deuteronomy 4:31) He continued to be my shepherd by protecting and providing for me as His sheep that had gone away. I was blind and did not realize that the life I was living was not pleasing to God. (2 Corinthians 4:3-4) One day my eyes were opened, and I noticed that a lot of my buddies whom I would club and run the streets with were either dead, in prison or smoking crack. I was headed down the same road. But for whatever reason, (grace, love, and mercy) God spared me and gave me another chance. After repenting, being baptized in Jesus name, and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, (Acts 2:37-39) I was given power to resist the things that I use to do. I get excited when people see me now and see Christ in me and not the old person I use to be. It lets me and others know that I've been changed and don't even think the same. (Romans 12:2) And I will continue to be this person until Christ returns.

Minister Mike Watkins, Jr.

Youth Ministry Leader:  Minister Mike, Jr. was born in Houston TX.  He received his B.A. degree in Political science from The University of Houston. He is currently pursuing his J.D. at South Texas College of Law.

In July 2016, Minister Mike received the Holy Ghost at Greater Bethlehem Healing Temple in Chicago, during the preaching of an anointed message by Bishop Lambert Gates.

One year later, 2017, he accepted God’s call to the ministry under the leadership of Bishop Greg Watkins, Sr.  He is currently serving as a minister, youth leader and percussionist at Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Mike Watkins Sr.
